Phew, maybe a little dark, but I've submitted my second dataset to the Reasoning Datasets Competition: ZennyKenny/tactical-military-reasoning-v.1.0

I'd be interested to hear the community's thoughts on the applications of AI in the military. Especially in the wargaming space.

This is something that feels inevitable (and realistically, probably already in progress). Doesn't it make sense for us to have an understanding of the mechanics of such processes? Surely they will never be open source.

We are not in need for applying AI to military to be used for war to kill civilians (women ,children )and innocents people.
Are you aware of what's going on in Palestine due to misuse of AI to target civilans ???

The fact that you assert that bad AI is causing civilian deaths is a perfect reason to insist that good AI be created for military applications.

The dataset here is purely about strategy and tactics and has no applications in weapons targeting systems.

I think it would be much better to use AI for game theory. It would cover many more scenarios than just war (for example, video games, evolutionary biology, ethics, politics, negotiations, economics). Overall, it would be a smarter AI than some fantasy war scenario machine.

Another problem is that war is complex and unpredictable. You need to somehow build the fog of war into the AI, along with the geography, the morale, the civilians, the infrastructure, the communication, the misinformation, the espionage, the logistics, the aid groups, international support, etc. as the wars in Sudan, Ukraine-Russia, and Israel-Palestine show.
