`"id2label": { "0": "LABEL_0" }` in config, so are lower relevance scores better?

In config.json i see exact reverse. The label2id defined is LABEL_0 which means the relevance score that gets produced should be for label 0 and not label 1. Am i understanding it right?
If so, lower score should be better and higher score should be worse. https://huggingface.co/BAAI/bge-reranker-v2-m3/blob/main/config.json#L18
