🎙 Introducing LiveATC Recordings (Partial 2024-08-26) Dataset -

Dataset highlights:
- 21,172 air traffic control audio recordings from LiveATC.net for August 26, 2024
- Multilingual content, primarily in English with potential for other languages
- Each entry includes: audio file, ICAO airport code, facility type, date, and time
- Contains original MP3 files stored in .tar.zst archives, organized by ICAO airport code
- Data covers various airports and ATC facilities worldwide
- Subject to LiveATC.net's Terms of Use for personal, non-commercial use only
The dataset can be used for audio classification, automatic speech recognition, and analysis of air traffic control communications. The inclusion of recordings from multiple airports allows for comparative analysis across different locations and facility types.

In November last year, Iliad announced a fully open-source-oriented AI lab called @kyutai_labs 🧪
In this very short time they have released Moshi! An open speech-to-speech model 🗣️... released publicly even before closed GPT4o (yes, you can try it right now!) 🌐

This is what you expect an intelligent companion to do! 🤖 It is continuously generating responses and listening at the same time with sub 300 ms latency! ⏱️
This level of engagement is so new, it almost feels like I am under pressure to keep up with it! 😅
While it hallucinates like crazy! 🤯 I think fundamentally this is what a true assistant would look like. And did I say they are going to open-source it? 🆓
Weights and full technical report are promised to be coming soon! 📜

NVIDIA released Chat with RTX. Why is it significant? It's NVIDIA's first step towards the vision of "LLM as Operating System" - a locally running, heavily optimized AI assistant that deeply integrates with your file systems, features retrieval as the first-class citizen, preserves privacy, and leverages your desktop gaming GPUs to the full.
A web-hosted version will have a hard time matching the same functionality. NVIDIA is going local even before OpenAI.
