What is the "new_alt" version?
What is the difference between the "new_alt" and regular Flan versions?
Check commit history?
I see that the "new_alt" version is essentially encoder-only, which makes sense given that it is a bit smaller than the regular fp8 Flan.
I guess my next question is, what advantage does going encoder-only provide, besides space-savings? I have noticed that the two versions do produce slightly different results when used for Chroma text encoding.
all are encoder only. alt is a VQAScore fine tuned one. look at my other repos for the pure flan encoder I uploaded. No I don't feel like answering bunch of questions. Not a service provider and this isn't CivitAI
Alright man. All I wanted to know was the difference between "flan" and "flan_new_alt", which I feel like is very reasonable considering there is no documentation on this repo.
You told me to check commit history, which I did. All that led me to was https://huggingface.co/Anonymous1422/clip-flant5-xxl-TE-only, which is another repo with 0 documentation and a similarly unhelpful commit history. Then I come back here and ask one followup question, only to find out that "alt is a VQAScore fine tuned one" which is something I absolutely could not have gleaned from commit history.
And to be told "I don't feel like answering bunch of questions" when I've only asked two, the second of which could have been avoided if you'd actually answered the first (instead of sending me on a goose chase). The first question could also have been avoided if this repo had a 2-sentence readme describing the difference between the uploaded Flan versions.
I wasn't trying to put you through 20 questions here, literally I just wanted an explanation for something that you should have written documentation for. Moreover, I was just expressing some curiosity w.r.t. your work because I think it's cool and I want to learn.
But whatever dude. If you wanna be this prickly and unhelpful about answering questions, to the point where you prefer to waste both of our time with smartass non-answers, that's your prerogative.
